Dr Gabriel A. Delgado completed his internal medicine residency at Harvard Medical School. He is a graduate of Brown University where he trained in both general and interventional cardiology. He then pursued an additional year of training in advanced Vascular and Endovascular Medicine.
While at Brown, he was honored as Chief Cardiology Fellow and served as faculty, teaching cardiology trainees.
Dr Delgado has served as faculty and guest speaker at national and international meetings, and has authored several articles and book chapters on the field. He has been an ongoing advocate of improving outcomes in cardiac care, having directed hospital protocols for cardiac arrest, serving as chairman of a critical care committee, and as 'champion' for the American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines initiative.
Besides general cardiology and coronary artery interventions, his area of expertise encompasses the comprehensive treatment of arterial and venous conditions. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular & Endovascular Medicine and vascular studies interpretation (RPVI). In addition, he is board eligible in advanced venous care by the American College of Phlebology.
He recently joined Novant Health as Director of the Endovascular Laboratory at their hospital in Matthews, NC.
